Tell that to the people who were down the road playing loud music in a gazebo next to a bouncy castle with several tons of union flag bunting strewn aboutAndrew wrote:Thought that was yesterday?sibon wrote:Street parties held today for the diamond jubilee for anyone living outside the UK![]()
Our's was!
I plan on doing some studies like this when I get home. Remember the study on layers of balloons vs range, shot time, and output I did for the 1500? But since you came up with the idea and you're the one in the states... I think you should do some studies like this in the mean time.DX wrote:The best way to figure out the optimal amount of pumps would be to plot a range curve. Probably way more effort then you need to take for a simple 3v3 war, but the theory is to prime it a set number of times, then pump the water in, then measure the range, and repeat this process. If you try no priming at first and work your way up to like 15 pumps, you'll have 16 data points with different ranges. It should form a curve and the peak of the curve is where you get the highest range. Whatever that point ends up being is the amount of times to prime your soaker.

You don't have a link for that by any chance?M4 wrote:I plan on doing some studies like this when I get home. Remember the study on layers of balloons vs range, shot time, and output I did for the 1500?
That is odd. And Toys R Us also sell the steady stream as an 'own-brand' (sizzlin' cool) water gun, alongside their cheap rubbish of the same brand.sibon wrote:Oh, and the sticker said Snap-it Renegade, no mention of ultimate anywhere on the website or blaster.
Right, so you can only bring £15 worth of blasters? I assumed no individual blaster over £15. It's a thought for future battles though, especially as the current blasters don't come with slings.sibon wrote:Yea, but the cheapest option is the Bandit, and unless it is £3 or less, it would mean I break the £15 rule...

Beware the PurpleWell, not that much soakage.
I don't think so. I mentioned Argos has an own-brand Sphynx and their Quick Grip XL's are Water Warriors too (but they really are just squirt guns not blasters).sibon wrote:BTW, do Toys R Us have any other Water Warriors in disguise? Or just the Steady Stream?
Take a look at the stats on isoaker. If you feel your Renegade won't be enough, go for it. But if you're new to this it's probably best not to get too many expensive blasters too soon. You'll probably only use one of them to begin with anyway. If you're planning on having many more, possibly larger, battles in the future, then by all means start an armoury. You can always lend them out to a n00bz0Яz. (Actually wait, that might not be a good idea! You'll get: "What does this do?"
