New discovery - PEX pipe

Today I went to Home Depot and found something interesting: this stuff called PEX pipe. It's flexible and smaller than PVC. It's the same diameter as CPVC, which is great since there's no CPVC in southern California. Darts fit in it tightly too.

So I bought ten feet of it for about three bucks. I cut off a piece and stuffed it into the nozzle of my Hydro Cannon. It was a really easy external mod; all I had to do was rip off the screen with pliers and push it in. The tubing fits so snugly that epoxy wasn't necessary. Ranges are impressive. I plan on replacing the PC next.

I read about this in the homemades directory of nerfhaven just a few days ago. People wew using it to make Snap bows and other bows more compact than if regular pvc or cpvc was used for the arm.

Hmm... I recall doing something very similar not too long ago.

I wasn't aware PEX used the same sizes. Good to know!

A couple inches off the end of the pipe should net you some better performance, as well.

Which reminds me... I still need to get video of the this mod v2.0.

Awesome. That mod so simple even I could do it! If I get a Hydro Cannon this year, I'll have to pick up some of this piping.
