I dunno, the 310 is a pretty good gun and it's older.

@BlueMage: Have you ever looked at Sports Authority or TrueValue? SA has (or had) CPS 2100s for $8. I've also heard stories of how people looked at TrueValues and found MXLs.

@Veteran: I checked out iSoaker's specs for the 310 and 2100.

Blaster:
Length: 53 cm (20.87") | Width: 8 cm (3.15") | Height: 24 cm (9.45")
Weight: 800 g (28.22 oz.) Reservoir Volume: 1470 mL (49 oz.) | Firing Chamber Volume: 350 mL (11.67 oz.) | Pump Volume: 30 mL (1 oz.)

Nozzle: 4
Range (Level): 6 m (19.69') | Range (Maximum): 9 m (29.53') | Output: 66 mL/sec (2.2 oz./sec) | Output Rating: 7.8
Power Rating: 4.7 | Shot Time: 5 sec
Nozzle: 3
Range (Level): 6 m (19.69') | Range (Maximum): 7 m (22.97') | Output: 35 mL/sec (1.17 oz./sec) | Output Rating: 4.1
Power Rating: 1.9 | Shot Time: 10 sec
Nozzle: 2
Range (Level): 6 m (19.69') | Range (Maximum): 7 m (22.97') | Output: 27 mL/sec (0.9 oz./sec) | Output Rating: 3.2
Power Rating: 1.5 | Shot Time: 13 sec
Nozzle: 1
Range (Level): 6 m (19.69') | Range (Maximum): 10 m (32.81') | Output: 21 mL/sec (0.7 oz./sec) | Output Rating: 2.5
Power Rating: 1.6 | Shot Time: 16 sec

So, maximums of: 10 m. range, 16 sec. shot time, 2.2 oz/sec.

The 2100:

Blaster:
Length: 59 cm (23.23") | Width: 12 cm (4.72") | Height: 29 cm (11.42")
Weight: 1030 g (36.33 oz.) Reservoir Volume: 2000 mL (66.67 oz.) | Firing Chamber Volume: 540 mL (18 oz.) | Pump Volume: 32 mL (1.07 oz.)

Nozzle:
Range (Level): 8 m (26.25') | Range (Maximum): 11 m (36.09') | Output: 212 mL/sec (7.07 oz./sec) | Output Rating: 25
Power Rating: 18.3 | Shot Time: 3 sec

iSoaker.com Ratings:
Power: 90 | Weight: 60 | Capacity: 80 | Overall: 90

So, at maximum: 11 meter range, 3 sec. shot time, 7.07 oz/sec output.

RATING:

310's total output: 11.7 oz. at maximum.

2100's total output: 21.21 oz, more than double.

Also, the 2100's resivour is 66.67 oz, while the 310's is just 49 oz.

The only advantage that I can see to the 310 is that it is slightly smaller.

What's wrong with that price? I'd pay 40 bucks US (57 Australian dollars here) for a CPS 1700 anyday. In fact, I'd buy two or three once I got the money if I found a deal like that. I paid more than that for my 1700 not including postage (I got it shipped here from the United States) and I don't mind at all because it's a great soaker.

Still, I got my CPS 2700 at a Toys-R-Us in Wisconsin for only $30. Let's see... $30 for a 2700 or $40 for a 1700. You do the math. :D

I didn't say the 310 was more powerful, I was jsut saying $15 is a good price for one. (BTw my SA charges $12 without tax for a 2100)

30 bucks for a 2700? That's a great price! When they were in stores here, they were $80 AU (approximately $56 US) and I would consider that a reasonable price.

Different people hold different values to different soakers (a non-committal sentence, perhaps, but it's still true). It's good to know what prices are out there. From there, people can look locally and make a better judgement on whether they think what they are paying locally is cheap, reasonable, or expensive.

Forceuser wrote:If you think $15 for an XP 310 is expensive you should see the prices in the UK. A XP 310 would cost you £15 (about $27.50) wherever you go and a MAX-D 6000 would cost you £20 (about $37). My CPS 4100 cost me £30 (about $55!) and that's cheap over here!
I know what you mean. My Monster X cost £55, that's about $90 I think.
