Never ceases to amaze me how often the Chinese ripoff products. It looks like they reused the old molds and removed the bottom section where the goo was held. More than likely the internals have been completely replaced with worthless rust prone junk.

Something about that trigger screams pinch valve, which could be a good thing as the only thing Max-D valves did reliably is fail.
