Just bought the Argon a few days ago, so I have tried all three of the precharger guns. I have to say, in my opinion the Argon is the best of the lot. It's the ultimate pistol...good looks and colours, solid construction, good sized reservoir, feels comfortable and light when fully loaded, and has a quick reload time. Ultimate backup or sidearm!
As for my thoughts on the Precharger system as a whole, I like it. Sure, the pressure isn't constant, but the range is (almost) and the shots are quite powerful. However, I am concerned about the reliability of these guns...first, the end of my Krypton's PC exploded, my Xenon's PC has a leak at the same end...you can imagine I was a bit hesitant to try the Argon when I saw it in the shops (however I was in dire need of a watergun to see me through the winter :p ) but I am glad I picked it up. I have a question though: it's supposed to take three pumps to maximum pressure...however, for me it takes nearly 4. Should I stick to 3 pumps, or pump until the gun stops the divider from moving? Also, the gun seems to be pumping air with the water and I get a bit of an 'airy' shot most of the time. Does anyone else have this problem?
Sorry if I got a bit off topic there, but I've been dying for somewhere to talk about the Precharger blasters and am interested in what other people currently think of them.

If you'd been dying, you could've started a thread.

For the ones I've used (well, all three), they usually took somewhere between 3-4 pumps to fully pressurize. What I didn't like was the fact that on the Krypton, the pump would basically seize up (well, got REALLY hard to pump) once the PC was at max pressure. I was hoping that a check-valve would more readily open to allow the remaining water in the pump shaft to be pushed back into the reservoir so the pump isn't left sticking out.
I can't say I've had issues with air/water mixes being pumped, though, unless the reservoir was low on water. I had noticed, though, that it is still best to prime the PC during the first few shots by partially filling with water, pointing the nozzle up, and trying to squeeze out any air that may be trapped. Reducing air on the water side of the PC yields much nicer streams.
As for the exploding PC, uh, what happened? Can you post up more details on what made it explode and what sort of damage occurred as a result? That sort of info would be extremely good for others to know and hopefully avoid.

Yes, you're right, but I didn't know whether many people would be interested or have anything to say on them...but I guess I was wrong!
Anyway, one day I was using my Krypton, when I heard a loud and low popping noise (similair to what people describe when a CPS PC explodes) and then it wouldn't hold any pressure at all...it was pretty obvious what happened so I opened it up and sure enough, the high-pressure end had blown a substantial hole/rip in it (on the top corner actually). I couldn't really fix it without a lot of trouble, so I took it back to the store I bought it from and got a Xenon instead which funnily enough got a leak in the same place that I still haven't fixed yet. However, as no-one else seems to have had this problem, it must have been my own abuse (I did leave them precharged overnight a few times by accident). So I guess this is a good lesson: always remember to un-precharge! I am going to be extra careful with my Argon, and so I (hopefully) shouldn't have the same problem.
Also about my problem with the 'airy' shots...every pump that I make has the same noise as a regular soaker running low on water i.e as the air gets pumped through with water. It's quite annoying actually as I can never get a 'clean' shot and the noise is a dead giveaway every time I fire. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this?

^ well, perhaps many don't have all, but if you happen to like the one you have, then vote. If you don't like the one you have, well, then it's none of the above
Perhaps I should have had that option as well. Oh well.. better to discuss what the problems are then just say it's bad.

Xenon, because A. I haven't used the others and

By the way, check out the Rules for my newly invented SoakFest-esque game in the Draft Soaker Rules thread. Input on all the games there is desired. So head on over and ctritique the rules as much as possible!
