I do it with my monster all of the time. When I got my monster, the qfd was broken so I took it off and sealed the qfd's piping. Now I shoot it through the 8.5x nozzle.

I think a discovery was made about that on SSCentral. But still, its pretty cool how you can still super charge a 4100 even though the proper quickfill device has been removed.

If the nozzle fits and activates the QFD, many soakers can be 'Super Charged', but the danger is that the internal tubings may not be strong enough to take the hose water pressure pushing in before some of the release valves open.
'Super Charging' a non-SC blaster is not really recommended, even for the CPS4100 that appears to be just a remake of the Monster (2001) without the QFD. There just is no certainty that they didn't change more with the internals than simple removal of the SC-port. While it may work for awhile, you may be doing damage/stressing some of the internals by attempting to 'Super Charge' through the nozzle. Just a word of caution.
