Check this out!

The one on the bottom (Dad's) seems to be slightly bigger.
I would range test them, but his trigger valve is broken...
(Sorry about the blurry picture)

Whoa. That's creepy.
I think that one of them is a knock off or the Euro version.
What kinda boxes did they come in? Did it say "Super Soaker" or "Super Soaker/Super-Deluge"?

I have no clue what box the top one came in. I got it at a yard sale on Saturday (for $2!)
The bottom one actually might be a Euro version. Dad got in on-base in Germany, so it could just be one from a nearby store.
Is there any performance difference? Which side do the stickers usually come on?
EDIT: I forgot to add this. The strap for the top one is different than the other. One side of it goes inwards, while the bottom one is like by 2700.
EDIT AGAIN: iSoaker should check his out! He has the other kind. I'll try to post range ASAP.

Measure them to see if its not just an optical illusion.

I re-measured, and I must have made an error last time. They are the same length. However, the pump feels very different in both.

You must've taken the pic at an angle.

That picture fooled me for the longest time. If you could possibly do some tests to each one to see which one is better I'd apreciate it greatly.

I would do some tests, except for one slight problem. My dad's 1700, the one on the bottom, has a broken trigger valve, so I can't measure range, output, or PC size. Maybe iSoaker could do some tests on his. (hint, hint, hint...)

Why don't you FIX the trigger valve?

I would, except for three things.
1. It's my dads water gun, and he doesn't want to "break it".
2. I've had bad luck with taking apart water guns. My 2100 is still in pieces in a bag in the garage.
Finally,
3. Why would I want Dads soaker to work? :p
Well, maybe next year I can buy it from him and take it apart.

If it's already broken, then what have you got to lose?!
3. Why would I want Dads soaker to work?
Because it's a rare and valuable soaker. Plus, the more soakers the opposition has, the better. Don't you want a challenge?
