"Live Free or Dry"

Found this article written back in 1992 during the first surge in Super Soaker popularity.

'tis sad that even back then there were problems with people mis-using water blasters and, moreover, over zealous politicians not aiming at the true source of the problems, rather using the popular Super Soaker toy as a scapegoat for it.

In other notes, seems like no one in the media was able to measure ranges properly even back then. :goofy: As much as I'd like to believe it, a Super Soaker 200 just doesn't appear to have that capability.

The Super Soaker craze may be the latest sign of a jaded society's need for ever-increasing thrills: more drug use, more transvestites on Donahue, more fire power in our water guns.
???
Now if was a few years later and the SCII was involved, that would be a different story.

I think SS themselves claimed 50 feet of range.

Point taken. Got too caught up in the rest of the article and forgot about the original claims on the packaging.
