Even a mod can get a might confoosed as to where something goes, so if any other mod doesn't like where this went, feel free to move it.

I posit this scenario:You are having a major, multi-team waterfight. In a city. You can go anywhere, do anything within the confines of law, physics, and reason. What are some objective based game types that you would enjoy?

Yeah, new system here has a little bit of 'getting used to' in terms of the means of sorting threads. This thread, IMO, still is better for "Training Grounds" since that Forum is also meant to include 'game ideas'. Yeah, confoooosing, I know. :goofy: Hopefully it'll make more sense one day (either that or I'll end up shuffling things around again :oo: )

As for a reply to this thread, I need to think a little more before writing up a proper response.

I believe a classic 1HK CTF would be great. Perhaps even make it multiple flags, and have the flags hidden throughout the city at various landmarks/important sites/building. Each team would get an identical set of hints or riddles leading to the flags. Instead of a more organized front, the teams can move indepentendly without bases, staging guerilla type ambushes and encouraging a more fats paced urban water fight when they encounter each other. It would also be a good chance to use more small squad based maneuvers and coordinating the movements of a team throughout an entire city.

That would be fun, but then again, most people I know are not interested in 1HK, even in a park. I would prefer to do the war in a park because you have more cover than the city, and you also have to learn stealth.

By "city" I mean "inside any and every building." I'm looking for a LOT of game types here...I've kinda hit the wall thinking up stuff on my own.

Adrian

EDIT:To clarify, I've got game types like "assassination," "theft," "home invasion"...I need some other types and other objectives. Thanks.

Well, if you're including buidlings, you could have 1HK or 1HK(lives) games like:

"Hold the fort": one team has building as base while other is trying to storm it, I suppose similar to "home invasion"

"President/Diplomat": one team tries to get a special, unarmed member from Point A to Point B without having that person soaked by the other team

"Godzilla": giant monster (or giant monster float) rampages through streets, soaking with impunity, until all soak points removed

"Canyon War": war between teams across a street in adjacent tall buildings using window openings only.

"Escape": team starts at top of an enemy building and must fight their way to the ground floor to escape

"Hostage crisis": one teams has a couple members of the other team held hostage. Other team goal is to free hostages and get them out. Team holding hostages, of course, wants to keep them. Hostages cannot be soaked if unarmed, but to be "freed", they must be given a soaker and make it out of the building "dry".

"Zombie invasion": A few people start off as 'zombies' and whoever they soak join their cause. Zombies cannot be killed by normal streams, but can be stunned (time can be agreed upon) by being soaked. Zombies can be killed/converted back to 'human' if the others find the 'cure formula' which the first 'zombies' have hidden somewhere.

Hold The Fort, President, and Escape are all good suggestions I can use. If anyone's got any more, I'd be thrilled.

well a regular assasin game is always good to play in a city. you know, you are assigned another person/team and have to kill them and then eliminate the team they were tryting to kill etc. but to me the best is a large scale 1HK CTF.
more reliable then a max-D trigger

You could do a VIP thing, where you have to take a designated person, your VIP to another point, without him getting shot or anything, within a certain time limit
