Arctic Blast Trigger Simplification Mod

For years, my Arctic Blast (Which happens to be the blaster I've owned the longest.) hasn't worked to well. Ever since the peg that held the spring on to the trigger mech snapped, it's been having troubles, dispite my numerous attempts to fix it. So now, instead of trying to fix the mechanisim, I just got rid of the whole blasted thing.

Picture. Everything but the lever that connects directly to the valve has been removed.

I tested it, and it works beautifully. The trigger is now nice and smooth, and practically silent. The only small problem is that the trigger is a bit slow to return to it's closed position, therefore your shots may last a quarter of a second longer than you wanted. It's still a vast improvement however, and I'm extremely happy about it.

If you have any questions, I will be glad to answer them.

Very nice work. You should do the same thing to the riot blast trigger and stick a laminator on it.

Isn'tsuch a relief when you relize that you can just rip that thing out, bend a new wire, and have a better gun for it? :goofy:

You may still be able to attach the old spring somewhere, like one of the screw towers. That will probably help to close the trigger. I fid this mod with my MD3k, but the spring has stopped returning the trigger completely, and so the gun has been on the worbench (literally) for months. It has also temporarily donated it's pump to my APH.

Anyway, one of the nozzle mods I alluded to before was for my IM2. Very easy, very useful. This gun seems like it will be the next gun to get a huge overhaul, HC style.

Sorry for the hijacks, they seemed relevant at the time. :goofy:
