I saw that earlier. Looks pretty cool, but maybe a bit top/back heavy.

Not at all. 100 oz on your back is nothing, especially in a very comfortable camelbak. As for being back heavy, 30 oz of water weighs around 2 pounds which is around how much the rest of the gun weighs, so I don't notice much of an imbalance. But I imagine that a 10 year old would struggle with the size of the pressure chamber, I'm 6'1 170
My main complaint is the amount of pumps it takes to pressurize this thing. I stopped counting at 50. It's REALLY annoying. Fortunately, it fires a really long time at a pretty high power. With that being said, it just shows how much classic pumps suck. Also, CPS pressure chambers make a gun so much easier to use, you don't have to have x amount of water in the pressure chamber to get a high powered shot. If I had to choose between this and other guns that get similar range that I've had (Explorer, Storm 2500, SC 600 mk2) I would barely choose this over the 600. But if I had to choose among stock guns only, I would go with my 600 hands down.

I was't sure about the balance thing, though I'd ask. The tracked pump is must be nice for all those pumps- I know my wobbly wobble pump on my 6k gets annoying after like 5 pumps.
Old guns remind me of APHs. I like the skeleton feel. No room to do any case mods or anything though.
I need to get something about that size (scatter blast?) and make it decent with some LRT and a trigger. While I'm at it, I should get a hold of some broken blasters to cannibalize.

Yeah, if it didn't have a tracked pump it'd be really bad. Have you used an XP 150? That gun has arguably the best pump ever. I do feel it lacks a bit in range (mine shoots 35 ft) but if you are just shooting around in your yard it's not really a problem.

No.
I really got to get to the community war. I tried to get a 150 on ebay, but the seller had an exagerated idea of the price. He wanted $100. I ended up getting my 6k instead. The old style tracked pumps seem like they had less friction- is that true?

You do.
Nice mod! I think wetmonkey had a Camelbak at the war. I guess they would work pretty well for a homemade/modded backpack blaster.
As an aside, I've never found my 6000's pump that annoying; it only takes maybe 7-10 pumps for full pressure, and only one pump to restore full pressure after a tap-shot. I've never noticed any wobbling.
My all-time favorite pumps are the Vanquisher's and Equalizer's (Talking about the smoothness, NOT that unbearable squealing after the PRV kicks in.).

My 6000 takes 15 prepumps and 10-20 of water till that PRV goes.
Broke out the 2100 for the dog today (he was thirsty lol) and thought about the PRV- It is pretty solid, I really have to try to get it to AAANNNNGGGG! which is closer than the sound than a squeal.

@avtan- blasters with pumps that push liquid and dont use the post-max-d style PRV tend to do that.
i have one not-already-answered question: given the puny size of the intake, and the fact that the pump sucks to begin with, wouldn't there be a rediculous amount of lag? as in "rubbing sandpaper against rubber-esque speed" lag?

Yes, it would seem like there would be a rediculous amount of lag, but there isn't. The pump doesn't suck because it is weak for its size. It sucks because of its size. An XP 150 pump is about 4x as big and pushes 4x as much water. The classic pumps are just really small. It takes an incredible amount of pumps, but once I pressurize it it just keeps going and going and going.
