WalMart Canada- No Super Soakers?
Just went to my local Wal-Mart and all the new soakers where there including a bunch of Blazers($19.99CAN), Kryptons($27.99CAN?) and Scorpions($29.99CAN). Also some new Pirana + Firefly set for $24.99. One thing that was odd was a complete absense of Super Soakers. They had alot of other small name brand also so this is odd. Anyone else notice a decine of Super Soakers in their local Canada Walmarts? Last year there weren't that many to begin with. At the moment the only Super Soakers in my area are Zellers.
On a sidenote, since I am completly broke I didn't buy a Scorpion which was $29.99 CAN. Now having said that, there was a small name brand shot gun pump cannon by "Water Blasters" that uses its tank as an amo round when loading. That somewhat amused me, so I plan to buy that for cheap squirting entertainment nextime I am there again. It was just $6 CAN.

where in canada do you live? because this sounds strangely similar to my local walmart, except mine had no pirahna/firefly set, but rather a lightning/yellow jacket set. Also my local walmart had splat blasters, crickets, black widows, the same game you found amusing, argon, xenon, krypton, 6 flags guns, kwik grips. That's all I can remember.
Scorpions? And you didn't get one? Everyone is dying to know about the Scorpion. As least I am! You have to go back. You could be the first in the online community to use a Scorpion!

I live on vancouver Island. Yes, what you describe is prity much my WalMart selection. It could have been that lightning and yellow jacket isntead of the Piranah and firefly. I just took a quick look. My attention was just mainly on the Blazer, Scorpions and that shotgun piston.

Exept if its sucks, and I will be the only member with a scorpion minus $30 something CAN.

I will be back there tomorrow or monday, so I see what I can do about the Scorpions.

Do you have Scorpions at your local WalMart?
If one is available at your local store, you should get a Scorpion. I'm noting saying that because I would know that the Scorpion is better, but because then I don't have to get one myself to review it for everyone. Right now my budget can not afford anything over $15 CAN. I rather let someone else get all the glory for publishing the first Scorpion review.
I remember I was the first to publish a full fledged Blazer review 2004 at WWN, and no checks in the mail yet. :p

Ok I got the scorpion. First of all, the motor is VERY loud, and takes about 20-30 seconds to fully pump. It has good range (meets the advertised 40'), the nozzles are also good, I'll try measuring the output. The PC is fairly large, and the reservoir is also of a decent size. Probably the worst option for a scout, as people across the world will hear the scorpion pumping (maybe not, but you get my point :p)
Cool! 20-30 seconds isn't bad at all; about the same time it takes to pump up any blaster with similar PC size of the Blazer. What do the nozzles look like? I mean what size relative to other blasters, and what's their estimated output by you.
EDIT: You should open a new topic to discuss the Scorpion.

Sounds ok, I guess I've taken my chance at buying one, as I have said to ZOCCOZ that I'm still interested in paying for one from him.
I just hope it turns out good, I just hope you get a good amount of shots per tank, or good shot times, so that you don't have to refill all the time, if it holds around 50oz in the tank it will be acceptable to me. It will be interesting to see how it copes in my battles this Summer.

Scorpion sounds pretty good (apart from the noise of the pump).
Is the pump about to keep up if you just hold the trigger? Does it keep pumping if the reservoir is empty?
I gotta get me one of these to try.

Wild Boys: Altogether it holds around 60oz according to the box, and on the lowest nozzle it shoots for about 12 seconds.
Isoaker: If you just hold the trigger with the pump on, you'll have a normal shot until the PC runs low on pressure, then it'll start pumping again, the result is a shot with the stream going back and forth. And yes it does keep pumping if the reservoir is empty.

Thanks for the information on the Scorpion, sounds like its promising, I can't wait for stats, mind you, I can't wait to get mine!
The only thing that I feel will be a bit awkward of the Scorpion is emptying all the excess water left in the firing chamber thoroughly, since the pump is automatic, I take it that hopefully it will just keep pumping air to flush out the water until you want it to stop.

Nozzles don't sound bad there, but the 1x won't be useful. Did you get range tests, and can you post some pics of the gun (blaster, whatever) shooting?mr. dude wrote:The pump is just a switch that you can turn on and off, so it will keep pumping air into the PC until you turn it off. And Hannibal, I got the nozzle sizes and they are roughly 1x, 3x and 5x (almost 6x)

1x, 3x and 5x.
That sounds good. I had a feeling that there would be a 1x on it. The good thing about this is that the nozzle selection is not what I was dreading. I was dreading that they would be like the Lightning's nozzles, which were two useless small nozzles which were like 1x and 1.5x, and the only effective nozzle was the big nozzle which was around 5-6x. I was using it against an APD a while ago, and the only thing that kep the Lightning in the match was the large nozzle, the others were useless and weren't very effective. So, people underestimate the APD I think, it can do a fair bit on the field, although that's a completely different topic.
Anyway, I'm glad that middle nozzle is around 3x, as that's a very good sized nozzle, gets the opponent noticably wet without draining all the water quickly, I'm just glad that the middle nozzle isn't a 1.5~low 2x like on the Lightning.

I did try a range test, but I was getting low ranges (Highest was 8m) so I didn't record the results, since right after I stopped I got over 10m, but sadly didn't measure it.
The 1x could be useful, it has a 12 second shot time, though it has a low range. The 3x has the highest range and about 5 seconds, and the 5x has 3 or so seconds.
I'll try to get some pictures in.

There you go, mr. dude. You had those quotes messed up there. :;):
I personally do not find such small nozzles useful. On the Blazer, the nozzle I find most useful is a 3x, and I'd find the 5-8x even more usuful were it to get better range. But it all depends on who you are fighting. If you are fighting squirt pistols, the 1x might be useful.
The 3x should be the best nozzle. And I'm hoping it gets some good ranges, though I'm not sure exactly what you're saying by measuring ranges.
