That's not a CPS 2000....

Post by soakinader » Mon Nov 19, 2012 9:48 pm

Looks like someone has no idea what they have. What a total idiot.

It would be hilarious.... but then, in the very last picture, he puts a picture of a CPS 2000 MK1 ripped straight from isoaker.
Flipping from the picture of that to his picture.... and the fact that he said he painted it (and it would have been red)... idiot. Just an idiot.

Is it a CPS 2000 ? No. Is it an awesome paint job ? definitely. In my opinion a CPS 2500 with that good a paint job is well worth the 90$ he wants for it. If only I could convince my parents...

I don't really blame the seller; the two guns look so similar (they have the same shell), pretty much anybody who doesn't know much about water guns (especially if there's no label) could confuse them. Though the person seems to know about isoaker.com (they took iSoaker's 2000 picture...), so you'd think that he/she would've stumbled across the 2500 review.

I guess the seller might just want to scrape up some extra cash, because 2000s are worth a lot more than 2500s.

Heh.

Looks like no one wanted to inform the poor guy so I took the liberty and done so, he has now updated the listing to a 2500.

Dear 123andy0811,

Hi.

What you have here is a CPS 2500, not a CPS 2000.. If you look at your bottom picture, pay close attention to the purple tank.. then look at yours and see the place you screw the cap on is red.. Now google a 2500, the tank is red.

You may want to update your listing to avoid a paypal chargeback or negative feedback.

his reply:

Hey, thanks for the info. I had removed the stickers years ago and totally thought it was the 2000. Thanks again for the heads up.

I know there is more indicators to tell tis a 2500 like the whole tip of the gun, but I thought I'd keep it simple.
