Super charger APH

So, I decided to build another APH, out of all threaded parts so I can modify it later. This one charges from a hose attachment and cannot be pressurized any other way, but I plan on adding a (removable) normal pump and backpack.



The PC are 2 liter soda bottles, so it can hold about 3L total (some space for air, otherwise range is terrible). I threaded metal pipe onto them, and they do not leak enough to be a real problem (especially once I put a pump on it so I can pump every now and then to hold pressure):


The SC-like adapter is just a piece of .5 inch PVC and a hose coupling. It is not glued, so it fires backwards when the PCs are about 2/3 full. This does in a way prevent it from over pressurizing.


Performance is much better than my other APH, probably due to the better PCs. It holds twice the water and can fire for quite a long time on most nozzles, and does not sputter. The riot blast on this is terrifying.

I added a manual pump. Unfortunately, I can only get the PCs 1/3 to half full before the pump starts leaking. Performance is still very good.

I built a hose-charging aph too. Mine was smaller and had a threaded check valve in the back that screwed directly onto the hose. It was also made entirely out of PVC so it didn't leak. Looks like it can seriously soak.

Cool, what did you use for the PC? I am thinking of making another one (hose-charge only) with 4 soda bottles. I am also thinking of adding a hose charger port that would not require removing the pump.

I used 3 inch pvc. It had good range, but didn't shoot for long. It's riot blast was devastating, but its is currently broken

So tell me, did you just take some steel pipe nipple and shove it into two soda bottles with a little tape? I can't believe that those bottles haven't skyrocketed yet...
Good job on this. I was thinking of using a syringe gun for a pump, but I don't think it's hardcore enough. XD Also, durability may be an issue? I think it would be fine with a CPH, but with an APH the pressure is just going to keep increasing until something leaks or you can't pump it anymore.
And did you use all PVC + steel pipe fittings? How is the weight? The price?

If you turn the steel pipe when putting it into the bottle, it actually threads the bottle so it can screw on. The pump actually does leak after 10 pumps when the PCs are 1/3 full. I need to fix that. It is lighter than a normal APH because of the lighter PCs. I think the price was probably about $20-$30, since you do not have to buy parts to make PCs.
