SuperCAP!!!
Basically, a big pressure chamber full of air and a separate PC (nearly) full of water, with a pressure regulator between the two. The air-only PC (big metal red one) can be pressurised to something ridiculous, and the regulator steps it down to something manageable. Basically, as water leaves the second PC, more air (from the first PC) comes in at a constant pressure. Hence CAP (Constant Air Pressure). If you get the volume and pressure of the air cylinder high enough, you can get constant pressure across the entire shot.

That is... beautiful. I always figured if you had a big enough PC you could get some crazy air pressure... man that's cool.

SuperCAP was a really poorly designed gun. I learned a lot by making it because of the mistakes I made, and I'd never make anything quite like that again.
I think constant air pressure is a good idea, and I'd like to try another similar backpack water gun, but if I did it again it'd be more compact, easier to fill, less fragile, and less prone to becoming a water rocket.
