If you ever bother reading these, I worry for your mental sanity.

Re: Nozzle size poll
Can someone explain how round bits work vs flat bits?

Re: Nozzle size poll
There are a few types of drill bits, and flat and round bits are two of them. Another are hole saws, which are usually reserved for larger size holes (holes larger than 1/2 inch in diameter). When you think of a drill bit, you usually think of a round bit, which is a cylindrical bit that twists around. Flat bits (spade bits) are like this; they have a flat section instead of a cylindrical section.
That said, I don't think there is enough information to say what nozzle size would be 30x (30 oz/s or 900 mL/s). Just because the CPS 2000 has a nozzle that size does not mean that another gun will get 30x with the same size. The water flow rate also depends on the valve diameter, chamber pressure, and other factors. Pretty much the only way to figure out what flow rate you get for a particular nozzle is to try it out and see. My vote is to try out both and use whichever one you prefer.
Edit: Fixed typo.

Re: Nozzle size poll
Oh that's pretty cool. FWIW I started an excel document that lists guns along with nozzle size, range, output, and shot time. This includes stock nozzle size in mm and any modded nozzle size. This is a great way of making so called "shot curves," which help you find the right nozzle size for peak output, range, shot time, or whatever you deem the right combination. This is going to find its way on my site by the end of summer hopefully. There is no way of doing this for your APH unless there is another APH out there exactly like it. Then you can plot some graphs. I highly suggest doing this after you've finished it.

When it comes to drilling clean holes, particularly into plastic, I think round bits do a better job than flat ones. I've drilled a larger hole into a plastic bin using a flat bit and the results were far from smooth. Unless you have a drill press and good clamps, trying to hold a drill steady with just your hands when using a flat bit and keeping it centered while applying pressure is actually quite difficult.
In terms of actual output, though, Drenchanator is correct that it's much more than nozzle diameter which will determine whether you'll end up with a true 30x stream or not.
