Could this be more efficient?

All of Nick's talk of his MonsterX streams having lamination problems piqued my curiousity. I unscrewed the nozzle selector on my cps 4100 and just as I expected, I found thin plastic pieces with a ton of holes in them. What suprised me is that there were laminators both in the internals of the gun, but also in every nozzle but the fan blast. It looks to me like a large amount of flow is being restricted by these laminators. Here's some pictures:Image
^note how much dead space there is, atleast an inch or two.

Great pics! I noticed those once on my CPS4100, but didn't pay as much attention to them at the time. Seeing these pics definitely brings back the memories and, in light of the recent lamination threads, starts making more (or less) sense. :goofy: Such walls would definitely restrict output, but do so hopefully for improved lamination. I have a feeling that the size and number of holes in those lamination walls may be related to the eventual size of the nozzle (the largest nozzle seems to have the most holes in the wall or I'm just imagining it).

As an aside, may I repost these pics on iSoaker.com?
