So I have had this Power Pak sitting around for a while, and now I finally get around to posting about it...

So there are two types of Power Pak backpacks. One has the connector on the backpack like this:

And the other, the kind that I have, has the threaded part fixed to the backpack like this:

So I have a few questions. One, can anyone confirm whether the guns are cross-compatible with the backpack threaded parts?

Also, by any chance, does someone have the threaded piece (Female) from the gun? I don't need the gun, or even the hose necessarily. I just need some way to securely attach a hose to the type of backpack that I have.

I wanted to buy a second power pak (of the first variety) , swap the gun over, and then modify the hose sticking out of said second Power Pak and attach it to a homemade gun I am working on. Of course if they aren't compatible that is a complete fail.

Seriously not helpful. The Power Pak has this 11/16" wide, seemingly arbitrarily spaced threads that don't fit any standard parts. It's too big to use a clamp. If I just glue a tube to the inside it would be messy and probably wouldn't hold the pressure. I'm fresh out of ideas. Here's a pic of my power pak for reference.

At this point, you might have to do something semi-destructive to the unit to get a connection. One idea is to try to fit something inside the connection instead of around the thread. If you have anything that's 3/4" NPT, try shoving it in there, although you'll want something metal/brass so the male thread can actually cut through in there. Once secure, you can take it back out and use teflon tape or some sort of adhesive to make it seal.

Trying to adhere flexible tubing to rigid plastic never works in my experience. You'll definitely want to try securing a hose barb first. (I had a backpack mod I was working on and need to do this.) There's two factors to the connection: whether it holds in place, and whether it seals. Getting it to hold in place requires some thinking, since just throwing epoxy at a problem isn't going to give you a secure connection regardless of how it seals. Always need something that can stand a little force.

Duke added his own connector using tape, a coupler, o-rings, and glue. It's not reversible but you could easily get it working:

Ahh, thanks for the help everyone. I guess now I just need to find parts that are just the right size.
*EDIT* Looks like I need something either just over 18mm to thread inside, or between 24 and 32mm to thread outside.
