CPS 1000 pressure chamber casing help

Well, right now I'm in the process of putting my CPS 1000 back together. I'm having an issue with the PCC. It goes together fine, but I cannot get the end part, where the tubing that connects the bladder to the rest of the gun, to go together. The casing is bulging apart. I've tried adjusting, taking apart and putting back together, putting pressure on it while I try to put a screw in but nothing works.

Are you sure that the rubber is lined up on the correct groove? You might be trying to put it together on the larger one when it might need to go over one of the smaller ones. I'm not as sure about 1000s, but I think the necks have 2-3 grooves.

The grooves are different sizes? Huh, didn't know that. Yeah, the neck has two grooves, and I was lining them up. Lemme try your advice...

The grooves are the same size.

Here are some pictures...

Here is the casing, showing off the grooves.

Here is the casing, with the bladder in it.

Here is what is causing all the trouble. Normally only the neck is not together, there's just no screws.

I'm guessing by the duck tape that you have moded this thing (forgive me, I'm a noob when it comes to doing that). I think your problem is that the duck tape is making the PC too wide too fit in the neck. Try compressing the duck tape with your fingers, rotate it around and press on all sides. Like I said, I have no idea what I am doing, but it is worth a shot.

I think I see the problem and Scott is on the right path. See how the necks of your balloons break the plane of the circumference of the lip of the PC casing? Imagine if that lip kept running as a full circle. The necks of your balloons should not come up that far. As-is, the corner parts of the lip are coming up against the necks and preventing it from closing.

I completely removed the K-Mod, and it had no effect. Thanks for trying, though.

Try clamping it down on the rubber and ignoring the grooves. Did it always clamp on the orange part? From the picture, it looks too wide for the casing to close on.

Alright, I'll try that. I just haven't wanted to do that, because I don't to mess up the plastic anymore that it already is, it has several cracks and I would hope clamping it won't break anything...

I meant clamp the casing on the rubber naturally, not using a clamp. The edge of it would come right up to where the orange part starts.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but you mean just try to push it into place? I tried that too, nothing.

Is the orange part the same diameter as the actual rubber bladder? I'm assuming it's the piece that has barbs to hold the bladder on and thus the PC case does not need to clamp over it. Try closing the case over the rubber only having the end of the casing line up with the edge of the orange, ignoring the grooves.

No, the orange part is thinner than the rubber.
Closing the case the end of the case lines up with the orange wouldn't work, because the orange would be inside the casing. That orange needs to stick out far enough so it can connect with other tubing in the rest of the gun. I think I'm just going to sand the plastic in the area where the grooves are, but I would still like to know how it lined up there before I took it apart...

Now it doesn't make any sense.
It should look like this unless you have a totally different mark.

Yes, mine looks like that. I have an Mk. 3, if that helps.

I don't think there is any way I can adjust the bladder or case and have it fit. I think I will need to sand down the plastic in the area where the grooves are for a fit.

Maybe you could use a vice.

I've already tried to force it into place with a vice, and it wouldn't budge.

I applied a clamp to the casing, and screwed it in until it couldn't move anymore and here is what I got...
