Help opening 2100 - i have mark 2

I bought a CPS 2100 off of ebay. Unfortunatly though it is mark 2. I am on a kind of tight budget so i can't get a new one. I hope that I can do a CVF and K-mod, but I can't get the pump cap off. Has anyone done this before and can they help me?

Mark 2's are the worst to open. I think you've got to saw it off.

Ohhh. That stinks. Would that ruin the pump at all?

Nope, the 2100 pump cap has no function. Sawing it off will only make the gun look modified and will not affect preformance. I once had a mark 2 and k-modded it. After a few shots, it broke for no known reason. Another downside to the mark 2 is that the internals cannot be swapped between 2100s like with the mark 1 and 3. If you need a replacement trigger, for example, it has to come from another mark 2.
