Flash Flood Problem - Reservoir caves in!

I got myself a new 2006 Flash Flood at Target two days ago. I also got an Aquapak with it. I'm fairly impressed with the Flash Flood. It packs a lot, and it is by far the smallest soaker in the house. The small stream has that CPS-feel, if you know what I'm talking about.

It works just fine when I'm using the Flash Flood by itself. But when I use the Aquapack, the reservoir caves in! So here's a step-by-step process of what happens. First, I fill up the FF tank. Then, I fill up the Aquapak tank and attach it to the Flash Flood. So then I start taking shots. After a while, all the water from the Aquapak is used up, but the FF tank is full. By now I've squeezed out exactly four FF shots. Then, as I'm almost done with the FF tank, I suddenly notice the whole side of the tank is inverted. The tank is pushed in on the inside.

So here's my theory. I must be creating a vacuum. And it only happens when I have the Aquapack connected. It has happened two times, same story each time. I'm calling up Hasbro today, but I don't expect them to know what's wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to have to be careful with my Flash Flood with the Aquapack which is coming soon to me (well, there are 3 Flash Floods on the way to my door, but I've just ordered one Aquapack at the moment).

The problem is, the tank on my Flash Flood didn't completely return to its original shape. So I have a smaller tank, now.

It's happened two times, and I've lost like 1/5 of my water capacity. You know the outer ring that holds the water tank? There is this big gap there, because the tank is much smaller. The first time, it was hardly noticable, but the second time, it really got squashed. You'd think they would solve the problem, instead of just tellinbg you not to tighten the cap all the way. What a pain. The rest of the gun is suprisingly durable, though I'm not too sure about the pump, but with the tank just collapsing...

Can you take pics?

I find it rather surprising and sad that the additional backpack reservoirs end up causing reservoir collapses on the blaster. Anyone find this the case with the other Max-I blasters? I'd assume all would suffer the same problem, but have only heard about problems with the Flash Flood.

Well, I just went out and tried my Flash Flood, thinking I would try it out beofre I reurned it, and I noticed it was back to the state it was in rigt after the first collapse. Not so bad, but still not like it was when I ordered it. I'm thinking about taking back both the blaster and the backpack, and getting a new Flashflood, but getting a refund for the Aquapack. What a bummer it's like this. I really don't think I'd remember to loosen the cap every time I used the Aquapak. iSoaker, have you had any similar problems? Or have you even opened your Aquapak?

And iSoaker, I can take pics, but I don't know how I could post them. I might email them to you, and then you could post them?
