Clayton Greenway Bridge SSLF Team Meetup

Post by marauder » Sun Apr 21, 2013 9:55 am

I hung out with Belisaurius, Duxburian, Drew (Hydropoc/Vermin Wars), Tony, and Danny last night. We carried some guns out on to the Mountains to the Sea Trail. This trail is currently being built by the state of North Carolina to go from the Great Smoky Mountains all the way to the Outer Banks. We mostly just hung out on the bridge and tried to get Tony and Danny to down a bunch of Red Bulls before sending them back to their mom. Danny was under the impression that Red Bull was for 18+ only, either because it was alcoholic or because it was just so intense kids couldn't handle it. Tony ended up developing all the symptoms Danny was worried about (headache, sore stomach, feeling dizzy), although it was clear to the rest of us that this was purely placebo since Tony had only drank about 4 oz. It was pretty entertaining. Belisaurius took Tony back to the car to get some gatorade.

Apparently that was all Tony needed to forget about the situation. He ambushed us with an XP 310 on the way back to the car. This lead to an arms race in the parking lot. I hit Belisaurius several times with my 2000, while the shots from his newly fixed Monster X (from the Ridgewood Wars) soared over my shoulders. DX had been unable to fill up his 10k since the foot bridge was about 35 feet over the water, and the banks on either side were extremely steep. I handed him my 2000 to fight off a dual MXL/XP 310 attack and proceeded to look for a place to fill up the 10k. DX got in a great point blank shot on Danny that was so powerful that sprayed all over Drew and me. Eventually all the CPSs ran out and Tony was able to attack an undefended DX with the 310 until we called it off.

It would have been nice if it had been a little warmer, but overall this was definitely a lot of fun.

And this is why I need to move to the south. I'll be looking for the ideal midway point between all warriors to avoid long drives to community events. Maybe I could move to Kansas City and get hooked up with some Google Fiber gigabit-at-home.

It's great to be finished with school.

Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to do at this point lol. It's snowing/sleeting today though, and I'm pretty tired of that so moving down south would be nice even if the weather isn't that much better. I'd much rather have community wars than host HBWW events anyway; you guys are the best! :goofy:

That said, there's still a lot of friends here. I'm not quite ready to pack my bags yet.
