This will be dealt with elsewhere....for this is a rather important topic to stay on topic in...
My community-wide refresher:
Saturday, August 12! -That Friday the 11th is open for either a "thunder" date [you know the rules for rain] or for people who can't make Saturday if there are any.
Spread the word! Regional War Saturday the 12th right here in Ridgewood NJ! [ Not Ridgewood NY, Ridgewood NJ] Bring your team if you've got one, and bring all your [non-QFD only] soakers. Directions will be posted later.
*Regional War Date*
*Bump*
It is important that this topic stays on top so that as many people as possible see it. The success of the Regional War largely depends on how many people can come. Local numbers may be a *bit* lackluster.

Saturday is looking to be an awesome day. 79 degrees, sunny! Therefore, we won't need Friday for a thunder date, so Friday is out since also no one has requested it. Today is your lest chance to request activity on Friday, any later and I cannot mobilize for it. Currently, all mobilization has been for Saturday.

Update: This is shaping to be an almost regional war, as only one out of towner is currently able to make it as far as I know of. Hopefully some others will show up...surprise me!
Nibordude's availability is questionable, and of course contacting Belisaurius is more difficult than convincing the government that Area 51 exists...
The only good things as of now are the weather, and strong RM turnout. I don't want to have to postpone this, but things are looking less favorable as Saturday rolls closer. If it gets postponed, we would be looking at a September weekend, trying to juggle a mess of standardized tests and college visits.
Perhaps we could do some sort of "part 2" later in the month for those who have to miss this one for various reasons.

I wouldn't expect too many more out-of-towners to show up then, and you pretty much gave the answer yourself. September is an even worse time to go because of more activity--and that is especially bad seeing as most people probably can't go because of transportation problems. That's the reason I can't go--my dad's out of town, I'm too young to drive, we went up to New Jersey a few weeks ago, it's a 5-6 hour drive, etc.
What do you consider to be the "region" involved ????

The "Region" is primarily the Northeast. Last year we had people interested from as far away as Indiana, Tennessee, and Maine. This year has a much smaller pool of active members in the community, so there has been less interest.

*Emergency Change of Plans*
Friday, 12-7 PM, at the Spring Ave Bridge in Ridgewood, NJ.
For those coming, looking up Spring Ave on Google Maps will show the Ho-Ho-Kus brook and the place where the street crosses it. That is where we will be meeting. Feel free to PM me for more detailed directions.
