One problem with our recent war was me being too weak from hunger to fight. But it also seems that my entire team just lacks ANY kind of discipline when it comes to water wars. Our tactics are crap, and I can't get us to work together at all. I had a training regimen all lined out for them over the winter focusing on communication and tactics and whatnot, but none of them bothered with it.

I'm on an Armored Core 4 team (not with my MTU teammates) and we all work well together without even being able to communicate to each other directly. We all come up with a strategy beforehand and are usually able to focus our efforts on one opponent to take them out quick. And we almost won a month-long league tournament to boot.

When I give a strategy or order to my teammates they debate or ignore it completely; something as simple as everyone focusing on one guy just doesn't sink in with them. "Alright let's both focus on Gonzo." "Hell I'm taking Seraph." They don't even know how to stay low to avoid being seen!

Because of all these issues, plus my newly discovered lack of physical conditioning, I don't see ANY way we can be competitive this season. Maybe a disbandment is in order...?

If you give up or disband, you cast aside any hope of being successful. Instead of focusing and dwelling on you and your team's weaknesses, consider looking upon your own and your teams strengths and building upon those, instead. Things may seem out-of-order at the moment, but then again, perhaps your idea and your team's idea of what would work best are in conflict. You need to sort out differences of opinions and ideas off of the battlefield and look towards alternate means to better co-ordinate for your group. If direct orders fail, perhaps such a team design is not optimal for your group. Find out how your team members prefer engaging the enemy and build your tactics around your teammates' strengths and likely courses of action.

In the end, it is up to you whether you wish to pursue water warfare, but I believe that, if you are willing, you can still turn yours and your team's performance around this season. You just likely need to look at things from a different angle.
