This idea is so stupid it just might work.
I was thinking of a plan for Vermin War XI, which we are having this July. It's going to be 1 hit kills capture the flag. There are two flags, one at each team's base. The way you win is either by killing ALL of the people on the other team or by capturing the other team's flag and bringing it back to your fort (you must have both flags to win).
Anyway, I thought...what's the most obvious plan for this type of game. It's simple. Keep some of your team at your fort to gaurd your flag and then send the rest to attack the other team's for to take their flag. Now, I decided to do the exact opposite. In the first battle of Vermin War IX we used a surprise attack behind enemy lines to take their fort. There is another direction which you can sneak up on the enemy from. I was just thinking that I could get my whole team and come from that other direction to take their base. We would most likely outnumber them, maybe even 2 to 1. That would make it easier to take their base and their flag. If we won then we could go back to our base and surprise attack their attacking force, and take our flag back. Do you think that'd be a good idea?
They have used the same fort in three of the last four wars and they are using it again. It's in the pine woods which stretch on for around 8 acres or so. I was thinking that we could use stealth to get really close to the fort. In Vermin War IX we got about 50 feet to it before they saw us. I was thinking that we could all bring waterballoons in pouches. Then once we got in range we'd open up fire with waterballoons and tons of smoke bombs. The smokebombs would prevent them from seeing us and all the waterballoons would splash all over them in their fort. Once the smoke cleared (military kind lasts 5 minutes) we'd rush in and soak the rest of the survivors with our waterguns. Although it's in the woods there is one section that is clear enough to use waterballoons, and it's exactly where we'd be attacking from.
Knowing how my brother works he'd take most of the best soldiers with him to attack my fort. He has always been on the attacking force in the past four wars. This will mean that their base will be even more vulnerable. After taking their base I would rely on the element of surprise, and superior numbers to defeat the rest of his team.
Tell me what you think.
